Westfall is populated mostly by humans, and borders the Kingdom of Stormwind. The region was hijacked by the Defias Brotherhood who firstly tried to undertake Elwynn Forest, which was unsuccessful. This then led them to commandeer Westfall. After the Second War, Westfall became a forgotten and barren place. There were much bigger problems at this time in Stormwind, so its rulers were uninterested to fix Westfall. Its inadequate funds left the land desolate, making it much easier for the Defias brothers to conquer the land. The fields began to turn yellow and its harvests diminished, farmers could no longer cultivate and they too abandoned the solitary realm. The Brotherhood's minions of thieves and bandits together completely demolished Westfall and made it their shelter.
Westfall's music begins with mysterious sounding brass, reflecting the Defias brothers that strove to seek refuge with a new land. The brass becomes much thicker as it plays out; almost like a dawn of change the Defias brought to Westfall and its remaining people. The music in the first half is dark, and shows the progression of the story through the natural rise and fall. A distant lone trumpet melody is heard and produces a feeling of isolation in such a vast barren land. Towards the end, the music becomes much more sombre, the high strings mirror the humans' sorrow of realising their home is no longer their own. This creates a sense of sadness and misfortune as they abandon their whole lives and belongings at the hands of the Defias brothers and their minions.
